A 1 hour biomusica session is split into 3 parts.
Firstly, games: As George Bernard Shaw said "We don't stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing". We play a wide variety of games for many different purposes: to improve memory, co-ordination and concentration, to integrate the group, unload tensions, stimulate creativity, drop the levels of resistance, to uninhibit the individual and the group, to encourage self observation, stimulate corporal movements, increase general awareness, stimulate the use of the body in a way that is not mechanical, relax in an active way, favour co-operation instead of competition and most of all because it is FUN. Playing allows you to get in touch with the wonderful freedom, expression and creativity that we have as children.
Secondly: We do specific exercises to a) cleanse the body b) accumulate energy c) distribute the energy to specific areas (we work on a different system of the body in each session) and d) and balance the body.
Lastly: We eat and reflect/discuss our experience. Eating together is a wonderful way to bond with people and the food helps us to finish the processes started with the games and excercises. As we digest our food we can digest what we have learned and experienced.
For these sessions, the pavilion cafe will be open.
Anyone can benefit from biomusica and as every person is individual then I suggest that biomusica really needs to be experienced rather than explained. Please come along to a session to see for yourself.
Most of the exercises and games can be modified to suit individuals needs so if you have a disability (of any form) then please come and see how biomusica can work for you. I am registered blind and am amazed at the difference that practicing biomusica has made to me.
If you are interested in attending biomusica sessions but are unable to get there at this time then please contact me as an evening session may be arranged in the future. Alternatively, if you are interested in hosting a biomusica session in your area then give me a ring as it may be possible.
Also planned for the future are childrens sessions so if you would like you child to attend then please don't hessitate to give me a ring.
